VIP Pest Control Leadership
Vicki J. Hutto is CEO/President and Co-owner of VIP Pest Control for the Tampa Bay Area. Ms. Hutto has fourteen years of commercial and residential experience in the pest control industry. She applies this knowledge willingly and openly to her clients, consumers and community. Ms. Hutto has augmented her pest control career with courses and studies in the field of entomology from Purdue University and Texas A & M University. She has also worked for several local and national pest control companies prior to starting her own company. During her tenure with Orkin Pest Control, she was recognized as a top seller and producer by being inducted into the President’s Club three years in succession. The Orkin National President’s Club honor is only given to those top 3% nationwide who have achieved outstanding accomplishments.
Prior to her work experience in the pest control industry. Ms. Hutto had an extensive background in management and marketing having been the Director of Admissions and Marketing of the vocational schools now known as ITT Technical Institute, National Education Center, Texas College of Medical and Dental Assistants respectfully. Her thirteen years of marketing and managing these schools has helped her develop and bring VIP Pest Control, LLC to the Tampa Bay Area. Ms. Hutto is also known as a motivational speaker. She has had several speaking engagements where she has inspired business owners to continue to reach for their dreams. Ms. Hutto is very active in several local community organizations and believes in “paying it forward”
Roman McMurray, Certified Operator
VIP Pest Control LLC., is proud to have Roman McMurray as its Certified Operator heading up the company’s technical and research operations. He is licensed and certified by the State of Florida Agriculture Department in the four areas of pest control. His expertise and knowledge in the four areas are: General Household Pest Control, Lawn and Ornamental, Fumigation, and Termite Control. Mr. McMurray’s “full ticket” licensure and commitment to continuing education has brought to the Tampa Bay area innovative modalities for the treatment of pests and lawns. Through his research he has developed with the owner and CEO natural and “green” methods for individuals, companies and situations that warrant a non-chemical application for pest control needs and issues.
In 2009, Mr. McMurray earned and received the coveted designation of Associate Certified Entomologist. He is one of only fourteen professionals nationwide to have earned this designation in the years of 2008 and 2009. Mr. McMurray is continuing to expand his expertise by taking Certified Horticulturist classes with the Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA) and should receive his designation by the end of summer 2009. He also works closely with the Owner and CEO of the company to develop marketing strategies for reaching potential customers; as well as research new technologies in “green” applications, termite and mold prevention. Starting as a termite and pest control technician, Mr. McMurray has learned the important value of customer service and has led by example at VIP Pest Control. He continues to receive accolades from VIP Pest Control customers as to his workmanship and his ability to empathize with customer’s pest control problems. Through his career of ten (10) plus years in the industry, Mr. McMurray has become an expert in the areas of lawn care and horticultural needs & concerns.
Prior to coming to VIP Pest Control, Mr. McMurray earned an Associate’s Degree from Full Sail in Computer Animation as well as a certification in Auto Cad computer aided drafting software. This degree has served him in approaching any issue or problem with an “out of the box thinking” approach. He acknowledges that technology continues to expand and that the Pest Control Industry is developing new and superior methods and applications to handle pest and lawn control issues. He also worked with Orkin, where he was recognized as one of the top three termite inspectors in the Southeastern region and compiled seven years of experience with this international organization. In addition, he gained invaluable knowledge when working for TruGreen Lawn & Landscaping as a “Lawn Specialist”.
Mr. McMurray is married to Kimberly McMurray who is a Registered Nurse with the nationally known Veteran’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He is a member of several networking organizations and several chambers of commerce throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Debra (Debbie) Holley Office Manager
Debra (Debbie) Holley was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended high school in the Baltimore area prior to graduating from Land O’ Lakes High School in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. She furthered her education by attending college at Anne Arundel Community College, Arnold, Maryland. She graduated from college with two Associates Degrees in Network Management and Information Systems. Debbie applied her knowledge by working for several large companies including Lockheed Martin. Her area of expertise with Network Management and Information Systems spanned twenty-three years prior to arriving at VIP Pest Control. She came to VIP Pest Control after her husband, Steve Holley, retired from a successful career as a Baltimore City Policeman. Changing their home from Baltimore to Florida also brought changes in Ms. Holley’s employment career. She started with VIP Pest Control as Office Operations Director in the fall of 2007. Ms. Holley has diligently worked with VIP Pest Control to upgrade their network and office systems. She continues to find ways to automate the pest control business and strives to accommodate customer’s needs as well as VIP Pest Control’s needs through the world of automation. Her management skills have assisted in the day-to-day operations and streamlined several processes with Quickbooks and the Pest Control Management program. She is currently working on an office, technician, and certified operator procedure book which will assist VIP Pest Control in the training of new and old employees. Ms. Holley is an advocate for VIP Pest Control in the absence of the Owner and CEO; she assists with bid proposals and all marketing materials. Ms. Holley monitors the maintenance the company web site and all automated advertising. Her area of expertise has brought VIP Pest Control into the twenty-first century.
Ms. Holley is an avid believer in giving back to her community. She currently volunteers for Horizon Bay retirement Center as a Mary Kay Consultant and works with the ladies at Horizon Bay each month. She is also the past President of North East Tampa Women in Business, which supports and furthers women-owned businesses in the North East Tampa Bay area. Her dedication to support her community is illustrated by her membership of the Ladies Auxiliary where she held the office of Membership Chair. She also supports many veteran groups and volunteers her time to the veteran organization because of her father’s service to this country. In her spare time she enjoys gardening and spending time with her two granddaughters.
